Joan Furió Vivas has performed as soloist and chamber musician across Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, Leichtenstein, Portugal, Germany and France, in venues such as the Milton Court Concert Hall, the Chapel of the Manchester Harris College in Oxford, the Eduard Toldrà Auditorium at Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona, Valencia’s Oceanografic or The Bitter End in New York City and in concert series such as Festival de Música Religiosa de Vic, Festival de Música de Rialp, Dijous Concert (CMMB), Barnes Music Festival or Strings at Six (GSMD), obtaining recognition from audiences, personalities and organisers. He recorded the album with mezzo-soprano Sofia Llovet, and performs regularly with chamber music ensembles in duo with soprano, violin and flute as well as Orquestra Jove de la Selva and Ensemble de Guitarres Ad Líbitum BCN. He has upcoming concerts in London and Barcelona. “Excellent sense of style and projection” - Jacqueline Ross He has participated several times in festivals such as the Liechtensteiner Gitarrentage LiGiTa, Koblenz International Guitar Festival & Academy and Festival de Guitarra Ciutat d’Elx or Forum Guitare Wien, where he has attended masterclasses by internationally renowned guitarists as Álvaro Pierri, David Russell, Gary Ryan, Roland Dyens, Manuel Barrueco, Sergio Assad, Pablo Márquez, Leo Brouwer, Carles Trepat and Sean Shibe among others. Joan holds a First Class Bachelor of Music from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he is presently completing his Master of Performance in Advanced Instrumental Studies with professor Robert Brightmore. He studied for a Professional Degree of Music at the Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona with professor Joan Furió Navarro, receiving the Honours Soloist and Chamber music Awards. His studies are supported by the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Help Musicians UK, Fundació Pedro y Pons, and the Spanish Society of Performers Artists. He was awarded an Eurostrings scholarship. Committed to the promotion of music in society, Joan is the organiser and artistic director of the international Villa Margarita Music Fest in Spain since 2021, now supported by a broad range of public and private partners. Joan is also a dedicated pedagogue. What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time, but I am flexible.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument and PA if required

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
