Jo Devall Jazz

Anita Wardell renowned Jazz singer Originally trained in opera and have performed and played musical theatres across the UK. My love of jazz has taken me on a journey performing in jazz venues and festivals for the past twenty years. I sang at The Cork Jazz festival no less than 4 times and have worked with many seasoned musicians including John China, Roland Perrin and Terry Davis. I have spent many years regularly performing at the Mill Hill Jazz Club. I have also performed at many corporate events and sang in St James Palace. I have an exceptionally wide repertoire which covers jazz standards from Ella Fitzgerald to Norah Jones as well as Cabaret and Motown. The Musicians Adam Day (piano) has appeared several times on Top of The Pops with the UK hit band The Mike Flowers Pops. He has played across Europe at festivals and at Ronnie Scott’s, Jazz Cafe and Wembley Arena amongst others. Former bands include The Lucinda Belle Orchestra, Tight Fit, Wext London Sinfonia and John Bennett Big Band. He currently plays in a Simply Red theatre show. Terry Davis, (bass) has recorded with Rod Stewart, supported Eric Clapton and has played with such notable jazz artists as Cleo Laine and Johnny Dankworth and Al Gray and Buddy Tate of the Count Basie band. He has played at many parties at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle for The Queen and Princess Diana’s family home. Jeremy Shoham, (saxes and clarinet) worked in the west-end theatres and on cruises. He has played with such jazz luminaries as Liane Carroll, John Ethridge, Jim Mullen and Dave O’Higgins. We are first class musicians.- warm engaging and charismatic. We will transform any event into a classy and sophisticated affair.
