Jill studied piano at Chetham's School of Music then went on to study jazz vocals and studio music at the Guildhall School of Music. Since then she has had a busy career singing and playing to a wide variety of audiences, including live radio and TV, theatres, old peoples' homes and Manchester City's Stadium, to name but a few.

I was prepared for musicianship of the highest order, but was taken by surprise by Jill's voice: so interesting, supple, and a joy to listen to. "Listen to my story" is the outstanding track (on her debut album) for me...though "Mary, Mary" is very powerful and gets to you instantly..I loved it"
