Singer-songwriter, producer, and composer Jenny Bishop is based in the South West of England and has been working professionally as a function musician for over 18 years. Personable and attentive to detail, Jenny can provide a bespoke set of music for your function or event. With a set list of songs spanning many decades, Jenny can provide gentle acoustic music through to crowd-entertaining, upbeat songs to get your audience singing along. Jenny also performs with a loop-station, adding depth to the music and creating a bigger sound than your average solo performer.

We first saw Jenny performing in Cornwall while we were on holiday. We asked her on the spot if she would come and play our wedding reception [In Leicestershire] for us. Our guests loved her as much as we did! We were all singing and dancing together at the end. We also had a huge thunderstorm with a power-cut midway through the evening, and Jenny had us all singing in the candlelight for a short while until the power came back on! She felt like one of the family by the end, and the whole night was so much more special just by having her there. We can't recommend her enough.

We had a small and intimate wedding in Cornwall and wanted just one person who could perform for us during the ceremony and then also entertain our guests in the evening. Jenny was amazing. She even went one step further and became the DJ for us after her acoustic set. She learned all the songs that we requested and was the absolute perfect addition to our day.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs smoothly. If timings change slightly during the event run-up, just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I can do this for free. I am also happy to play your playlists if you have them on popular streaming services.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as my PA is set up, I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely. If you read through my songlist and let me know if there are any particular songs you would like me to play, I'm always happy to accommodate. Also, if there is a song you would like me to play that isn't on the songlist, it may be that I can learn it in time for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I do :-)

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £50 for this service to cover rehearsal times.
