Who we are Jemima & The Five are a female fronted, six piece band with sax! Our band formed in 2022 comprised of likeminded, experienced musicians brought together with a shared passion for performing and playing songs that people know and love and are guaranteed to get the crowd moving! What we do We specialise in performing upbeat Pop, Funk & Soul covers. We bring the party to every gig we play, making us the perfect band for any celebration or event! What we bring We deliver a full and complete sound to any event we play. We own professional quality instruments and PA system. We also have options for stage lighting, live sound engineering and audio recording.

We're influenced by many of the greatest artists to have made records including: Stevie Wonder, Joss Stone, Earth, Wind & Fire, Amy Winehouse, Lionel Richie and Bruno Mars to name but a few.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes - Jemima & The Five only perform with Jemima as the lead vocalist. We do have pre-auditioned dep musicians on the back-line instruments if members fall ill. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all our players perform to a very high standard.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: Lead vocals, electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums and sax.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try to be flexible and accommodate changes. If timings change, please communicate this with us as soon as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely! We can provide background music between our sets if needed. We can also provide some background music after our set while the instruments are packed away.

How much time do you need to set up?

Typical setup time is between 1 hour to 1.5 hours before the performance time. This can very depending on access and venue layout. As soon as the PA is setup, we can provide background music to set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for the live performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We curate our setlist to ensure guests have an amazing time on the dance floor. However, we're happy to chat through our setlist to ensure it works for you and your guests.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our state-of-the-art Yamaha PA system, suitable for up to 200 guests, is included within our quote. The six-piece band with full PA system typically requires a minimum of 10ft x 20ft.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If there is a song that you really want to hear there is a chance we can learn this ahead of the event. Please let us know as soon as possible by providing a link to the requested song so we can communicate if this is possible.
