Jazz Duo

Paper Moon jazz duo is an acoustic instrumental jazz ensemble featuring Becky Waite on Trumpet and Alex Scheuerer on Guitar. Paper moon play a range of smooth jazz, swing and chilled pop music that brings an air of sophistication to any event. Becky is a London based professional Freelance Trumpeter working around the UK and overseas. She has a passion for Jazz, her influences include Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald and Roy Hardgrove. Becky studied Trumpet performance at Birmingham Conservatoire and Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar, Germany. Becky plays a wide variety of musical styles in her freelance career, working with a number of pop, jazz and world music ensembles and also plays classical music, often performing with a variety of London orchestras and shows. Rebecca is also a sought after classical soloist, most recently playing the Telemann trumpet concerto with The Festival Baroque Orchestra and the All Souls Orchestra on their tour to France, as well as performing at weddings. Alex started his musical studies in Geneva, Switzerland and moved to London to continue his studies on guitar and composition at the University of West London. Alex plays professionally around the UK and overseas, he is a highly sought after guitar player and plays with many bands. Alex’s jazz influences include Pat Metheny, John Scofield and Kenny Burrell.
