Jason is a professional vocalist, session guitarist and entertainer with an extensive catalogue of experience in the music industry from writing and composing original music, for T.V and film or with the band Honey Ryder, to performing covers at private events. His career includes touring and supporting international acts such as Texas, Romeos Daughter, Will Young, Michael Bolton, the Christians, Hue and Cry, Lemar, The Feeling, Justin Hawkins, and Ronan Keating. Having had recognised success recording on the soundtrack for the star studded, Hollywood movie “Bobby” in which his version of the Paul Simon track “Anji” is used, also Jason’s music has been used on the soundtrack to the film/documentary “Snow Blind” and “Lad: A Yorkshire Story”. His successes continue into his work being featured on numerous T.V shows including in Channel 4’s series “Banged up abroad”, ITV’s “Inside Death Row with Trevor McDonald”, Sky One’s “Mad Dogs” (series 2) and Channel 4’s “The Mill”. In addition, Jason has appeared on several Welsh TV Programmes with singer Elin Fflur for S4C including Nodyn, Bandit TV and Unid Pimp. For the past ten years Jason has been a member of the London based band Honey Ryder achieving accolades such as two UK top 40 hits with the singles “Numb” and “Fly away”. In October 2008 Jason played 2 nights with Honey Ryder at the Royal Albert hall on the final part of the UK tour supporting Michael Bolton, the tour included nights at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham and the Cardiff International Arena, he later went on to support Will young on his UK “Let it go” tour which concluding at the end of 2008. January 2010 took Jason to Thailand for 6 weeks recording the second Honey Ryder album at Karma Sound studios. The album “Marley’s Chains” was subsequently released in 2011 with 3 of its singles being play listed on Radio 2 and across the UK independent networks including Smooth Radio. By December the same year (2010) he spent time in the states writing with some of Nashvilles leading songwriters, including Tom Douglas who co-wrote Lady Antebellums US number 1 single “I run to you”, Rivers Rutherford, Tommy Lee James and Graham Rodgers. It was during the promotion of the ‘Marleys Chains’ album that saw Jason with Honey Ryder being interviewed and performing live on ‘BBC Breakfast’, ‘Live with Myleen Class” and ‘This Morning’ in Summer 2012. Jason later returned to Nashville in the Summer of 2013 with Matt and Lindsay from Honey Ryder to write more material with Grammy nominated songwriter Steven Dale Jones for their 2015 album “Born in a Bottle” In September 2013 Jason was privileged to perform live with Honey Ryder on the Sunday morning weekend ‘Wogan’ show with Terry Wogan BBC Radio 2, and in March 2015 again on BBC Radio 2 on the Patrick Kielty show after performing at the C2C (Country 2 Country) festival at the O2 Arena London. In May Jason appeared on BBC1 Northern Ireland with Honey Ryder, performing on the Nolan Live T.v show then in June was privileged to perform on the Bob Harris country show on BBC Radio 2 which was broadcast on the 16th of July 2015. In June Jason performed with Honey Ryder at the Isle of Wight festival and in 2016 was featured in the July edition of Acoustic magazine. UK Venues played • Royal Albert hall.
