The International multi-award winning singer/songwriter is set to be a breakout artist of 2015. The acoustic pop/rock outfit hailing from Townsville, Australia has earned his mark with an impressive track record. With the release of his highly anticipated album “Past. Present. Future’ and a world tour to top it all off, Jason is an emerging artist to watch. His music has an intrinsic emotional pulling power, all framed with an infectious pop twist that makes it endlessly listenable. Armed with a voice that soaks through the listener and draws them into the very core of his songs, Jason is a pop music force to be reckoned with. There’s something about Jason’s music that simply radiates with the listeners. So where did it all begin? Jason’s international success didn’t happen overnight. What originally started out as a few open mic nights, Jason soon became a well known name across the live music scene. Jason’s first EP – 'Different shades of grey' was a self-produced 4 track solo acoustic demo, which was recorded in his university room received an overwhelming response. In 2007 the first single release ‘Crazy’ received radio airplay on HotFm, SeaFm, 4TTT, and also dominated the Triple J Unearthed charts sitting in the no.1 position for two consecutive weeks. His second release ‘Walk away’ and ‘Wait’ followed through with expectations all ranking in the top 10 of the charts for a further four weeks. Since then, Jason has gone on to support some of Australia’s leading music acts such as Darryl Braithwaite, Shannon Noll, Tim Freedman (The Whitlams), Ash Grunwald, Clint Bodge (The Butterfly Effect), Dragon, Christine Anu, Glenn Shorrock (Little RIver Band), Mia Dyson, Small Mercies just to name a few. His success didn’t stop there. In 2009, Jason was a feature artist for Channel TEN’s Landed Music TV show for his acoustic song ‘Just for a while’ which received rave reviews. The single has made an immediate and undeniable impression on the pop landscape – a remarkable feat for an artist’s premiere offering. Eager to continue momentum, in 2010 saw his first full production song ‘Brand new day’ was again featured on the popular TV music show. After a short hiatus to complete his university studies, Jason re-entered the music scene at full force with a fully booked gig schedule in some of the major venues along the east coast of Australia. The acoustic pop/rock artist has definitely stroked the right chord with listeners gaining in popularity. The diverse set of sounds and moods Jason can create with just a guitar and his vocals is truly remarkable. In 2013, his passion for music has seen him dominate at an international level after being selected to represent Australia and compete at the 17th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Jason surpassed contestants from all over the world with his intrinsic style of songwriting and vocal power to take home a string of awards including Overall Division winner for Pop music. He also received top honors for his original work and vocal categories taking home 10 medals (2xGold, 4xSilver, 4xBronze). Following the overwhelming success on an international level and sparking interest from major LA based producers and record labels, Jason returned to his home soil to finish writing for his debut album. In 2014, Jason teamed up with industry heavyweight and rock producer David Harper at Vault Studios on the Sunshine Coast. His highly anticipated EP – Past. Present. Future remains his best musical accomplishment to date. The album features musicians; Steve Pope (drums), Matthew Rice (Guitar), Carl Wockner (Guitar), Emily Brewis (Backing vox), Alex Rottier (bass), Andrew Szumowski (keys). Fichera’s unique vocals alongside melodic guitar riffs forges a unique sound based on a diverse group of artists that include, U2, The Script, Bon Jovi, Goo Goo Dolls, OneRepublic, Daughtry, all of which contribute to the albums distinct sound. While pleasing crowds across the country with his remarkable live show featuring eclectic vocals and the use of loop pedals, Jason has also carved out an adoring audience over world. Jason journeys through his memories on stage to captivate audiences as he bears himself through lyrics to deliver an unforgettable and cultivating experience left off with its honest lyricism and innovative songwriting. In 2015, Jason hit the road on his first international album promo tour across America and Europe. With tour dates in Los Angeles, New York, London, Rotterdam, Munich, Prague and Vienna, Jason's shows are not to be missed. There is a strong sentiment of emotion towards the songs written for the latest album, which delivers Jason's best work to date. ‘The songs on the album are captured moments in my life’ Fichera says. ‘It’s an honest depiction of the moments we all face at some point in our lives’. We’ve all had that moment of hurt which changes us as a person’. The album journeys through his own memories and experiences while remaining utterly captivating as Fichera bears himself through past, present and future memories.
