Jamie began his singing journey with Berkshire Youth Choir, and then went on to sing with The National Youth Choir of Great Britain (and Chamber Choir) and the Rudolfus Choir. He spent a year as Tenor Choral Scholar at Exeter Cathedral Choir, performing alongside Tenebrae, before obtaining a First-class music degree from the University of Birmingham. During his three years in Birmingham, Jamie was Tenor lay clerk at both Birmingham Cathedrals, Tenor Scholar with the CBSO under Simon Halsey (Tippet’s A Child of Our Time, Deutsche Grammophon 2019), and sang with the Birmingham University Singers under both Bob Chilcott and Simon Carrington. Jamie has also recorded several albums as a backing vocalist for Katherine Jenkins. Now in the first year of his Masters in Vocal Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, studying under James Gilchrist, Jamie has enjoyed a variety of opportunities such as the Opera Gala with the orchestra of WNO, Tenor chorus and one of the ‘Quattro Medici’ in Respighi’s La bella dormente nel bosco. He has recently completed a run of shows with the David Seligman Opera School as 'Flute' in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try to be as flexible as possible provided enough notice is given. As of yet there hasn't been a time where any timing changes have not been accommodated.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

No

How much time do you need to set up?

I would ideally like at least 1.5 - 2hrs rehearsal time at a venue.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

We always endeavour to be flexible to the client's needs

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I bring all my own equipment except for any instruments needed for accompanied performances. Please note that if I provide the accompanist then any extra fees will be payable on top of the standard fees for myself.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am always very happy to learn new repertoire for an event. Any fee includes learning costs. Please note that fees vary depending on the difficulty of the repertoire.
