Jamie Farrow is a recent graduate of the David Seligman Opera School at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD), studying with James Gilchrist and Adrian Thompson. His previous studies include a BMus (Hons) from the University of Birmingham and an MMus Vocal Performance from RWCMD. He has performed with multiple professional ensembles as a consort member including Tenebrae and the City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus, and was a former tenor lay clerk at both St Chad’s and St Philip’s Cathedrals in Birmingham between 2018-2020. He was also a backing vocalist for Katherine Jenkins, as both a live performer and recording artist from 2018-2020. In April 2025, Jamie created the first studio recording of William Mathias’ song cycle The Fields of Praise. His previous role credits include Flute (Britten, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, 2024), Alfredo (Verdi, La Traviata, 2025, 2026), Pluton (Offenbach, Orphée aux enfers, 2026), and Oronte (Handel, Alcina, 2026). He has also performed other roles throughout his studies in opera scenes at RWCMD, including Alfred (Strauss, Die Fledermaus), Nika Magadoff (Menotti, The Consul), Tamino (Mozart, Die Zauberflöte), and Le Remendado (Bizet, Carmen). Future engagements include Chorus in West Green House’s production of Puccini’s Tosca (2026). Jamie’s studies at RWCMD were generously supported by Help Musicians as a Sybil Tutton Opera Award Holder.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try to be as flexible as possible provided enough notice is given. As of yet there hasn't been a time where any timing changes have not been accommodated.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

How much time do you need to set up?

I would ideally like at least 1.5 - 2hrs rehearsal time at a venue.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

We always endeavour to be flexible to the client's needs

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I bring all my own equipment except for any instruments needed for accompanied performances. Please note that if I provide the accompanist then any extra fees will be payable on top of the standard fees for myself.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am always very happy to learn new repertoire for an event. Any fee includes learning costs. Please note that fees vary depending on the difficulty of the repertoire.
