Hi there, a little about me and my experiences. I’m a comfortable sight reader, improviser and performer and play both electric and upright bass with a high standard of equipment. I’m used to working in large and small ensembles as well as being a driver and pleasant to get on with. Sample of some of my work: -Many musicals working with many different companies and MDs. -Multiple touring theatre productions. -This year and the last two years of being Durham Gala’s Pantomime production’s bass player. All three productions using click tracks. -Jazz big band work for various ensembles. -Vast amount of function band work, including regular work with bands for Warble entertainment and Music Newcastle. Over 60 gigs a year with these combined plus a large amount of dep work. -Regular work with a few North East blues bands with high profile gigs at The Great British RnB festival. -Occasional work with an Afro-beat, Latin jazz ensemble, including a headline spot at a jazz festival in Paris. -Occasional work with a touring north east Phili-Soul band. Including European gigs.
