About James

James Harriman is a Live Looper working in the West Midlands and Bath

James Harriman is a Singer/Songwriter From Pelsall. He is 18 and has been involved in music and performing since he was three. James combines folk, pop, rock, funk and many other genres to create his catchy unique sound. James has performed at many events including Free Radio Live, The Birmingham Weekender and the Birmingham Made Me Awards. James uses a Boss Loop Pedal and a TC Helicon vocal processing pedal to create a performance unlike any other. James can also occasionally be found busking in the streets of Birmingham and Bath as well as gigging regularly within the West Midlands. James is currently studying Commercial Music at Bath Spa University and is living in both Bath and his hometown of Pelsall. James is currently in the process of recoding his debut EP featuring the most popular songs that he plays in his sets. I can play sets of covers, original material, or (usually) a mix both. My live set of original music is full of high energy catchy music, as well as a couple of slower more singer songwriter songs. I have a large varied repertoire in my sets ranging from 60’s Rock ‘n’ Roll and Jazz to Modern Rap and Pop, I also try to put in the “Crowd Pleasers” such as Wonderwall, Sweet Child Of Mine, Livin’ On a Prayer ect especially in longer sets. My main aim is to ensure that the audience have a good time!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I try to be as flexible as possible and I am happy to work with you if planned timings change but please be aware this may affect the set length if changes are made on the day.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I have a playlist of classic party songs that I play before and after each set, I can offer this service for free and the music runs off a phone. If you would be interested in something a bit more engaging/personalised, I can offer a professional DJ service for an additional fee that can be negotiated, feel free to enquire for more details.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up an hour before the performance, however due to the technical nature of the performance and amount of gear we have this may vary. I can provide background music or a DJ service as soon as the PA system is set up. See 'Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?' for more details.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

The set I play has been developed over many years of playing different venues, and I tailor each setlist to the specific event. I have spent a lot of time considering what songs work best at what points in a night. However, If you would like a specific order, or want different I would be happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, for most gigs I will bring my PA System, Pedalboard, Guitars, Mics and Stands. Lighting may or not be provided as part of the cost (enquire or see quote for details).

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there is a chance I still know it. My set varies from event to event, and I have over 3 hours of repertoire. If there is a special song you'd like me to perform or learn please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to perform it at your event.

From booking until the party communication from James was superb. James had the party going from the start and his set piece was perfect for our guests. James's attention to what people wanted was faultless. James voice and personality was incredible. Would book again without doubt.
