James Banahan has studied Music up to Degree Level and has been performing for over 25 years as a Saxophonist , from Soul bands to Jazz Ensembles . James has recently had media success with his band The Light Disciples and had BBC airplay with a song he wrote and produced '' Wont You Guide Me " which can be downloaded from this site . Along with his Saxophone skills, James also writes music for Media companies on request and teaches music in schools . James has experience performing alongside with DJ's , having been a regular Sax player at Revs de Cuba , Nottingham and performed regularly at the Nottingham Summer Ibiza " Playa day Club " in the Market out door arena with top DJ's from around the UK in front of a full house . What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I'm happy to be flexible with notice and within a wedding environment , especially regarding speeches.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I can provide a DJ playlist service in between sets or beforehand .

How much time do you need to set up?

Depending on the set up . A full DJ Sax service with disco lights and full PA can take 2 hours to a small PA , 1 hour set up.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

I'm happy to either prepare songs of your choice with notice or to play alonsgide a DJ of your choice.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes , I always bring a full PA system .

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes , I can perform any song of your choice with due notice.

I can support you with step by step tuition as you learn to play classic songs . I teach all ages and cater for students wether learning for leisure or exam pathways . I also teach Clarinet , Flute and music theory . I can also provide an instrumental rental service if required too.

We wanted to add something extra special to our day and his music did just that. He was a huge hit with our guests and the whole vibe was amazing. James himself was very professional from arriving to setting up and packing away he remained courteous and friendly.
