Jacob is a multi-instrumental musician, with a huge amount of orchestral, wedding, and funeral experience. He began to play the piano at the age of 9, and by the age of 14, had received a distinction in his Grade 8 piano exam. At the age of 16, he obtained the much-coveted Diploma in Musical Performance (Piano) from the ABRSM. Alongside achieving these qualifications, he has experience of playing with professional orchestras, having performed Mozart's 27th Piano Concerto with the Welsh Sinfonia during his time in school. Shortly after starting to learn the piano, he commenced his career as a church organist in Highland Place Unitarian Church, Aberdare, which was quickly followed by the commencement of his residency as organist of St Winifred's Church, Penrhiwceiber. He held these roles for almost six years, during which time he played in hundreds of traditional services, around fifty weddings, and also a number of funerals. Jacob also has experience as an accompanist. He has accompanied a number of candidates in their Grade 8 exams, all of whom have received excellent results. Furthermore, he served as the accompanist to an eighty-strong ladies choir, Dare to Sing, in South Wales, while also acting as a stand in accompanist for Treharris Male Voice Choir. Since arriving at the University of Warwick to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Jacob has been heavily involved in a wide number of musical societies and projects. He played Keyboard 1 for Musical Theatre Warwick's production of 'Little Shop of Horrors', while in the summer term of 2017, he took up the role of Musical Director for Opera Warwick's production of Gilbert and Sullivan's, 'The Pirates of Penzance'.
