Jacob Ewens

I run my own recording company, Cellar Door Sounds, which specialises in fixing and recording live musicians for film & tv scores. As a freelance producer I have worked for Sony and Signum Records as well as producing sessions with groups including Tenebrae, The Gesualdo Six, The Marian Consort, SANSARA and Gramophone Award-winning vocal group, Ensemble Plus Ultra. I also have my own studio facility in London which I use to record vocals for clients. Find me on YouTube to see projects I have produced. As a singer, since the start of my training as a chorister at Westminster Abbey (2001-2007) I now perform regularly with some of the UK's top vocal ensembles, including The Monteverdi Choir, Tenebrae, Voces8, London Voices and the BBC Singers. I am also a Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, teaching on the Choral Conducting course a new module I devised on intonation. I run workshops for choirs on this topic as well. As a former organ scholar at Chelmsford Cathedral, Keble College, Oxford, and ARCO qualified, I have competent keyboard skills as well as arranging and score editing, and I also do this for clients on a freelance basis.
