About Jacob Crabtree

You name it, I’ll sing it! I perform a wide range of genres with voice and piano for nearly any function and ensure top level entertainment.
Singing pianist
Nottingham
Public liability insurance of £2 million

I have been a performer nearly all my life and have developed an experience in entertaining people through taking songs we all know and love from bands such as Oasis, Fleetwood mac, U2 and The Beatles and revamping them to suit my more acoustic aesthetic. I have been the front man for a few of my own bands performing at some small festivals as well as pubs and parties in the past but now mainly do solo gigs for weddings and private functions. I am also a keen songwriter and am always willing to show these off alongside my large and diverse cover repertoire. Choral music has always played a large role in my life having been a part of a Cathedral choir nearly all my life as well as running my own choirs at both high school and university where I have studied being a classically trained tenor alongside progressing and growing my more popular music style.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free. If you'd like to use my iPod playlists via the PA after the final set until the venue closes, I provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually will arrive to set up around an hour before performance time. It will only take me around 15 minutes to set up so the rest of the time is there for me to sound check and get a feel for the acoustics of the area I’m performing, this means there will undoubtedly already be music before the the performance time actually starts.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - in fact I’d prefer it! As long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing time. However, I’m definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you.
