Jack Garside

I've been playing bass for around 7 years now and I'm a graduate of Leeds College of Music where I studied on the jazz course for 3 years (2015-2018). Despite being only 22 I have a wealth of experience in both performing and teaching. I've played alongside great musicians like New York City-based virtuoso saxophonist Chad Lefkowitz-Brown and pianist Kenny Werner. I've also been fortunate to play with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra at venues such as Snape Maltings and Swansea University. Most of the time you can find me gigging in and around the Leeds area doing jazz gigs, pop gigs and also pit band work. I've taught at music workshops and summer schools across the UK such as the Falmouth Yamaha Jazz Summer School for the past 2 years where I've been able to teach a variety of students of many different skill levels. My teaching caters for pupils of all levels, beginner or advanced. In the first session, we can establish what your capabilities are and then I can tailor the future lessons to your needs to make sure you get what you want from the lessons.
