Jon has spent a career playing at the top venues globally. From the Cunard Queens to London's Lanesborough, Jon's superb musicianship, vast repertoire and engaging personality has lit up some of the most famous lounges in the World. Al wrapped up with a flawless piano technique and superb vocals, Jon has been the number one choice of piano/vocal entertainers for many years, most recently appearing on 6 star Crystal Cruises. Hailing from a musical Family, Jon started his professional life in UK theatre, before heading to Leeds College of Music where he gained a 1st class degree in piano & arranging. After a Post Graduate Drama year at Arts Ed in London, Jon headed out to sea where, for 7 years, he was the resident Entertainer on board Cunard's flagship, QE2. Graduating to be a headline cabaret act, Jon's many talents took him to writing and producing shows for many celebrated Cruise Lines. Soon CarnivalUK came calling and Jon has been the in-house musical Creative with the CarnivalUK team for many years, writing and arranging new shows for Iona, Aria and Queen Anne. Jon has written the music & lyrics for an entire musical that has been acquired by a Canadian producer and his song 'Thank you for being my Dad' has over 10m You Tube hits. But Jon's first love is entertaining by singing and playing the piano. Whatever the style - Jazz, Blues, Boogie Woogie, Rock 'n Roll, Billy Joel, Elton John to Pop, Jon is a masterful musician. With years of 5 star experience under his belt, he is a safe pair of hands for any event, wedding or just a great night out.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Things change for a variety of reasons. I will always adapt if your timings. Don't worry. It's part of my world, and if I am to be part of yours, then this is to be expected.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I would be happy to provide a DJ/iPod service between sets - but only if you guide me as to what you would like me to play. If you would like DJ/ iPod services through my PA, after I have finished performing, that would be an additional fee of £100 for up to 2 x hours.

How much time do you need to set up?

To set up I need 30 mins max - usually 15 minutes. I am old skool. I like to do this way before the guests arrive, so they walk into the perfect setting.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes you can pick the pieces I play from a set list. But I rarely have one - I read the room & play from there. I am very experienced, so if guests are chatting, they do not want obtrusive music. Similarly, if the room needs a little livening up, However, if you have some favourite songs, please let me know & I will be sure to play them for you.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I bring everything I need to perform. All the equipment. keyboard, stool. pedal. PA, mixer, mic stand , mic & leads. Everything we need for a great event.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, I can learn a specific event - I would be so happy to so do. I can even write you a song!!
