JENNY DARREN performed ‘HIGHWAY TO HELL’, as the ‘ROCK GRANNY’, on BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT, in April 2018. To date: (1st October 2018) the video itself has had over 148 MILLION views worldwide on combined sites. Jenny has had a long career; starting with rock in the 70s, then going on to become an established jazz singer and vocal coach for almost thirty years. In 2014, Jenny was invited to record an album on the Finnish Seacrest Oy label.This was to became an amazing time for her, and the restart of her rock career. In 2015, Angela Air records released a nineteen track compilation of the four rock albums that she recorded on the DJM label in the 70’s. It took over three years for Jenny to make - “Lady killer’, the album by “Jenny darren and the Lady killers”, which was released on August 31, 2017. The album was produced by Jenny, and features a plethora of world-class rock musicians: Nicko McBrain (Iron maiden-drums) Pete Way (Bass - UFO) Graham Oliver (Saxon-guitar) Chris Slade (AC/DC -Drums) Muddy Manninen and Bob Skeat (guitar and bass-respectively from Wishbone Ash) & Tom Leary (Lindisfarne)amongst others. The album features two versions of the song ‘Heartbreaker’, which was written for Jenny, & was released on the album.... ‘Queen of fools’. Pat Benatar the American rock singer released the song as a single in 1980 and went on to have a top 30 hit. Jenny’s record company released it as a single six months later, but sadly this was too late. Jenny has released 10 albums to date. There was a release in June of 2018 of the “Rare bird in rock album”, a compilation of unreleased songs that she wrote with England Prog Rock Keyboardist - Robert Webb; following on in July with a download release of the 1980s “Jenny Darren 2 album” now known as - The Pink Album’. A new album (Savage Song) will be released in the Spring of 2019, with guitarist Robin George, of Magnum/ Phil Lynott/Glenn Hughes fame. Jenny has been constantly touring with her road band - “The Ladykillers” for eighteen months now.
