Hello! My name is Ivan and I'm a concert pianist based in London. I am privileged to be a scholarship student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, ranked top 10 in the world, on the BMus (Hons) in Classical Piano course. Concurrently, I am preparing for my licentiate diploma in piano performance (LRSM), equivalent to a complete undergraduate degree, after passing my associate diploma (ARSM) with 96%. I also play the organ to grade 8 standard under the tutelage of Anne Marsden Thomas MBE and hope to receive my honours as a colleague of the royal college of organists (CRCO) in the next few months. Additionally, I have achieved a grade 8 distinction in cello performance and am now working towards my licentiate diploma. My favourite performing experiences to date have to include a performance at The Royal Albert Hall, playing background music for ministers at No. 11 Downing Street, giving a recital at The Amadeus and being the winner of several prestigious piano competitions. From a young age, I've always been fascinated at how music can convey so many different emotions and feelings that words simply can't describe. Music has the ability to engage, excite and even surprise us due to its sheer range of styles and characters. Throughout my musical career, I have sought to explore these different styles in order to bring the best out of music and have performed anything from Bach to ABBA! That's what inspires me to play - the ability to give any type of audience member their special moment by choosing the perfect piece to suit the situation. Whether it's a Beethoven piano sonata or an adapted version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" there is something for everyone to love about my performances. My services include bespoke private performances and background music for weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, etc., accompanying (with the ability to sight-read pieces fluently), instrumental teaching and recordings (with the ability to video edit and create unique multi-videos).

Ivan is a talented pianist and has given many performances for the Charity over the years and I’ve been lucky to witness his development as a musician. Most notably, Ivan has appeared as a piano soloist at our concert in St George’s Church, Hanover Square in London. Ivan is a confident performer and excellent musician. As well as these skills, Ivan is a trustworthy young man who possesses excellent camaraderie with his colleagues and no doubt will go on to be a great ambassador for the music industry. Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Good music is not only reflected in talent but also in hard work. I believe I have a good mix of both. As all my previous clients can confirm, from the organisation and preparation of my pieces to the feedback after the event, you can be sure that only my best efforts will be provided resulting in a detailed, expressive and genuine performance.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The most renowned venues I’ve performed in have to be The Royal Albert Hall, No. 11 Downing Street and St. George’s Church, Hanover.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My favourite pianists have to be Andras Schiff (for his authentic interpretation of music), Arthur Rubinstein (for his unique form of playing) and Richard Goode (for recording one of my favourite interpretations of the Beethoven Piano Sonatas).

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The most high-profile gig I’ve ever performed in has to be when I was invited to perform background on the Prime Minister’s piano in No. 11 for a charity event held in Downing Street.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible in order for your event to run as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know so that I can try to adjust accordingly.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up around 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time, although this depends on the type of event.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

I am used to playing on a wide variety of pianos from digital keyboards to grand pianos. I will, of course, be happy to perform on anything that you provide me with, though I would recommend that you check that none of the keys or foot pedals are broken and that the piano is in tune in order to get the most out of your performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set list is only a few examples of the many pieces I've played over the years. You are more than welcome to pick any pieces from the song list, as well as put forward any suggestions you may have, or alternatively, I can recommend a few pieces to suit your event. This can all be discussed in my complimentary virtual consultation.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list, there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is one or multiple special songs you'd like me to learn, I'd be happy to do this for you (depending on the time frame). Please let me know in advance of any special song choices.
