Ivan Montesano

Ivan Montesano (Madrid, 1990) is an experienced and enthusiastic drummer who is always open towards the new. His commitment and creativity are his drivers into this competitive musical world. He had a musical influence during his childhood due to his family. He started to play by himself listening and covering different tracks of his favourite bands. His first project band was created by friends in Spain, which grew very fast giving them the opportunity to play in the best venues of the capital, including some tours around the country. Then, he realized he wanted to keep improving into the musical world. So Ivan decided to move to Brighton (UK) where he started his professional drumming studies while improving his English skills as well as playing with other musicians. He quickly joined a well-known local band in which he gained a lot of experience playing around the South of England. He also started his own project called CUBA with another musician, in which he still works in. Both have been playing around Europe and had the chance of gaining experience in the musical industry. Currently, Ivan is based in London studying a BMUS Drums in Popular Music degree at ICMP, where he is learning inter alia different musical genres, composition, musical arrangement, production and marketing. Besides, he is involved in several musical projects working as a session player for other artists, evolving every day doing what he loves. Ivan’s main goals are keep stepping up while learning as well as to be able to work with big artists, wishing his drum beats could reach many people.
