I am a scholarship graduate from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience performing at a wide variety of venues around Wales, England and France. I have performed in a number of chamber ensembles, including the Beau String Quartet of which I am a founding member, playing primarily at weddings and private events. I have been a member of numerous orchestras, including being principal cellist for the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. During my time at RWCMD, I have enjoyed working with the Manchester Collective, Abel Selaocoe and Tim Hugh, as well as being a frequent member of the Royal Welsh Symphony Orchestra. I enjoy playing in a variety of pit orchestras for musicals such as Into the Woods, The Addams Family and Shrek!

Isobel was the perfect choice for our wedding ceremony. She arrived well in advance on the day, before the guests, and her beautiful playing elevated the ceremony to another level. Email communication was also super easy. Even when we had issues with the venue's power supply for the day, she was super flexible in adjusting her performance to the venue's demands. She is also able to accommodate our music requests, some of which were not part of her repertoire, and learn very demanding music for the occasion. If you are looking for a cellist for your wedding, I would look no further!

Isobel brought some magic to the beginning of our wedding day, playing for our guests as they arrived and took their seats for our ceremony. So many of our guests commented on how talented the girls are and how lovely it was to arrive to the strings! Isobel’s communication from our first chat was brilliant and so friendly and happy to accommodate whatever we wanted. She provided us with an extensive list of songs with a huge array of music, from both contemporary chart tunes to classical numbers. We selected some “must haves” then Isobel put together an amazing set list which set the perfect tone for our day. Absolutely 5 stars!

Although Isobel was just starting out as a cellist when she played at my wedding, she was very professional and played beautifully, making my day even more special. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Do you have different line-up options?

Though I am a solo cellist, I can also offer string duo/trio/quartet.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try to accommodate you to ensure your event runs smoothly, just let me know if timings change and I will do as best I can to help!

How much time do you need to set up?

I will always arrive between 30 minutes - 1 hour before my booked time in order to set up

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course! For ceremonies, all music during the service can be selected by you. For music during pre ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast, I am happy to take requests though these won’t be guaranteed!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! All I will need access to is a chair and a plug socket

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Absolutely, I will learn up to 3 new songs before the event if they are not listed on my repertoire list. Just be sure to give me enough notice and I will be happy to learn this free of charge.
