Isabel is a recent graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, where she achieved a distinction in her Master's degree, studying with Sally Pendlebury. Previously, she was awarded a first-class music degree from the University of Manchester, where she studied with Simon Turner and was awarded the Proctor Gregg Recital Prize for her final year recital. In addition to freelance orchestral work, she performs frequent recitals across the north with her duo partner, Jonathon Ellis, and has performed Elgar cello concerto and Vivaldi Concerto for two cellos as a soloist. She specialises in historically informed performance of Baroque music and has played continuo in several Baroque operas, recently returning from an inspiring Advanced Baroque Orchestra course at the Dartington International Summer School. Isabel is active outside the classical sphere, and has been on a 5-month international tour with the folk-rock band 'The Wishing Well' in addition to composing, performing, and recording with several Manchester and Liverpool based songwriters and bands. She also composes her own original music for cello and loops pedal.
