Innocent Murmurs Barbershop Quartet

About Us: Tenor: Dan Foran Dan joined the Innocent Murmurs in 2016, having had no previous experience singing barbershop. He found soon enough that his uncanny ability in singing falsetto made him the perfect fit for the tenor role. Dan’s upper register knows no boundaries and has the volume to match it. In his spare time, Dan likes to eat sugary products. Lead: Michael Vanner Vanner was one of the founding members of the Innocent Murmurs and has sang lead with us from the beginning. He sings with a soft and tender lead voice, that can be transformed into a cannon ball of power at the flip of a switch. Vanner has been refining his ‘post’ technique for a good part of a year now and can now sustain his high notes for well over 30 seconds. We have no idea how he does that. In his spare time, Vanner likes to browse prequel memes and make inappropriate comments on various whatsapp groups. Baritone: Dominic Lagrue Dom was also one of the founding members of the Innocent Murmurs and has sang baritone from the beginning. Blessed with a deceptively large vocal range and a slightly disturbing love of nonsensical voice leading, he truly is a perfect match for the baritone role. In his spare time, Dom can be found conducting choirs and MDing musicals, and sometimes studying for a medical degree. Bass: Michael Du Du joined the Innocent Murmurs in 2016. Despite being the bass singer, Du much prefers singing high to singing low. What he lacks in range is more than made up for in sheer volume. His singing has often been compared to being hit by a sledge hammer. In his spare time, he can be found listening to barbershop on the internet and listening to barbershop on his phone. In fact, rumour has it he doesn’t listen to any other form of music.
