Inis Éire is a Bedford-based Irish band of three classically trained multi-instrumentalists, blending Irish traditional, acoustic and pop to create their own unique sound. They are formed of Bedford-born sisters Sally and Eve McGrath, whose father is from Belfast, and Dubliner John Henry. Sally and Eve have been playing and singing Irish music together (Eve on fiddle, Sally on whistle, both on vocals) since they were children, and were thrilled to join in with larger groups when they started joining Sally's colleague John (guitar, low whistle, percussion, and vocals) at trad Irish sessions at the Three Cups in Bedford, followed by pub, club, village fete and wedding gigs in and around the area as a trio. They love to see people enjoying their music, singing along and even breaking out those Irish dancing moves! Sally and Eve are also prolific classical singers with extensive experience singing in choral groups, operas, recitals and wedding ceremonies across the country and beyond. Inis Éire would love to create a tailored musical package for any special occasion.

Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect group to perform for our event. They dealt with all the musical arrangements, kept us informed all the way through. Their performances / voices gave goosebumps, for us it was pure perfection. Thanks again 🫶🏼

Brilliant experience, we had them to play from 8.30-10.30 during our annual bonfire party. Spoke to them online and exchanged messages about the evening. Turned up in plenty of time to set up, with absolutely no complaint about the fact they were in an open fronted barn in a muddy field. Concert went down well, very professional, played the full set even with rudimentary heating, we had said to take more breaks to warm up, but they powered through. We had seen them before at public events, so knew they were good, just was a little unsure about how they would cope in less than perfect conditions, but needn't have worried. Think we'll try and save up and make it an annual booking!

Awesome and energetic Irish trad group!! I have seen them twice and both times were great musical experiences!! All three musicians are very talented and play a range of instruments to add character to their songs! Best part is how friendly and interactive they are with their audiences! Can’t wait to go to another one of their concerts or gigs!! ☘️

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is as follows: 3 vocals (SAT), guitar, fiddle, tin whistle, percussion. We can also offer 2 classical vocalists (SA) plus backing track or pianist for ceremonies. We’re very versatile - get in touch to personalise!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free during our breaks. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA before or after our performance, we provide this for an additional fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 hour before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes! We can discuss this in advance and tailor the set list to you (or you can go with our tried and tested formula and on-the-night instincts!)

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes!

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes! We will learn up to 3 new songs for you for free! :-)

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The interactivity and high spirits - you cannot keep your feet still when we are playing!! They also love the mixture of genres from Irish trad to American pop - and moods from sweet to raucous!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

In our first year as a band we have been booked for over 30 gigs at various pubs, clubs, village fetes, hotels, churches, festivals, and wedding venues including Woodland Manor. As classical singers we have performed in churches, operas, the ent shed, Bedford Corn Exchange and countless other national and international venues.
