Inés Montero was born in Seville (Spain). She studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música “Manuel Castillo” de Sevilla, with Anca Bitan and Alejandro Tuñón, graduating in 2010 ( Bmus 1st class Hons) with the "Premio Extraordinario Fin de Carrera" . Then she continued her studies with Krzysztof Smietana at Guildhall School of Music & Drama (London), where she finished her Master of Music in Performance´s degree in 2012.
She has played as concertmaster with the “Joven Orquesta Nacional de España” (National Youth Orchestra of Spain) ,“Orquesta Joven de Andalucía” (Andalusian Youth Orchestra) and “Orquesta Sinfónica Goya”.
She has worked with professional orchestras such as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra de Cadaqués, Orquesta Ciudad de Almería and Orquesta Sinfónica Goya; and with conductors such as Michael Thomas, Daniel Barenboim, Vasily Petrenko, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Andrew Manze, Lothar Koenigs, Enrique Mazzola, Arturo Tamayo, James Gaffigan... She has performed in renowned festivals such as the BBC Proms, Festival de Santander, Aix-en-Provence...
Chamber music forms a very important part of her career. As a member of the Cuarteto Ágora, she has given concerts in Spain and Germany and has received masterclasses from members of the KUSS, Guarneri and Alban Berg Quartets, as well as from Nobuko Imai, Eberhardt Feltz and Stephan Goerner.
As a soloist, she has played under the baton of Walter Reiter, Juan Luis Pérez and Francisco J. Cintado.
She has recorded the work “Las Indias Olvidadas” by Sergio Cervetti for a monographic CD of this composer.
At present, she is on trial with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
