Indigo Delight is an act designed for lovers of RnB, hiphop, soul, and pop. Indigo Delight comes as a 4 or 5-piece band to fit different venue spaces and hearts’ desires. Their full line up is lead vocals, keys, guitar, bass, and drums with backing vocals. The band has been bringing RnB, hip-hop, soul and pop favourites to weddings and events across the country since 2017. Indigo Delight had the pleasure of performing for one of KISS FM’s DJs at their wedding in 2021, where they were described by the clients as, “INCREDIBLE!!... The guests loved them and they made our wedding!” Indigo Delight goes above and beyond with all of their clients, so you can expect the band to meet and exceed your expectations. The band knows every event is different, and strives to fulfill every briefing to a T for maximum client satisfaction, and will also work the crowd to ensure a packed dance floor throughout the night. Indigo Delight is fronted by our absolutely fantastic vocalist, Shamyra, who has toured the UK and been featured in NME magazine and on BBC Radio. Shamyra’s smooth and rich vocal tones are reminiscent of soulful icons like Sade, Lauryn Hill, and Whitney Houston. Shamyra studied Professional Musicianship at the prestigious British Institute for Modern Music so you can expect an incredibly professional performance every time. On top of that, Shamyra's warm and friendly personality will win you and all of your guests round from the first song. Shamyra is supported by Chris on bass and backing vocals, Paolo on guitar and backing vocals, Pete on keys, and Mathias on drums and backing vocals. All members of the band are full-time working musicians with exceptional skill and talent. Collectively the band have all studied at the renowned British Institute for Modern Music, or Leeds University. The band is proud to be part of a high-calibre collective of musicians that are some of the most in-demand talent in the UK music industry. Indigo Delight has more than one person for each supporting instrumental role, which means should a band member be called away on tour or called in to record with major artists, there will always be another member from the collective ready to step in and deliver a seamless performance for you and your guests. All band members have been immersed in music and performance from a young age, wowing in talent shows, and coming from musical roots. Their love for music took each of them on their own unique journeys - for example you might have seen them supporting or performing with Jamie Cullum, New Kids On The Block, Dan Gillespie Sells (The Feeling), Billie Ray Martin, Coree Richards (Damage); or performing for the masses at Dot to Dot Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Isle of Wight Festival, Radio 1 Big Weekend, Leeds/Reading Festival, Meet the North, Riverside Newcastle, Opener Festival in Poland; or perhaps you’ve actually spotted them as the entertainment on luxury cruise liners, or on stages at Manchester Palace, Liverpool Empire, City Hall Newcastle, Guildhall, O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Crucible Theatre, on in the West End as part of ‘You Win Again’ and ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’, or even heard them on BBC Radio 1. It’s fair to say that the band members are well accomplished and have well and truly earned their stripes. Shamyra leads the way in Indigo Delight as she belts out the band's RnB, hip-hop, pop, and soul repertoire, from artists such as Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, and Bruno Mars. The band has a repertoire covering the 1950s to the current top 40, and specializes in RnB, soul, and pop though their repertoire also covers hip-hop, disco, funk, reggae, rock, indie, retro pop, romantic classics, retro rock, jazz, dance, country, gposel, festive, and musical favourites across the decades Indigo Delight welcomes you to tailor the setlist for your big day. For a standard 2x60 mins or 3x40mins performance you can select up to 32 songs from the band’s 400+ song repertoire, and the band will endeavour to accommodate all of your requests, given a month’s notice. For short notice bookings, you are still very welcome to send over your suggestions, and as always, the band will do their utmost to accommodate as many requests as possible. Indigo Delight are also very happy to learn an ‘off the menu’ song request for you, for example, a first dance or your favourite song. Upon booking, you will have a dedicated band manager as your point of contact to ensure the band is 100% on the same page as you well in advance of your event. Having this point of contact means you can count on excellent, fast, friendly, and warm communication at all times. It also means that come the big day every single crease will be ironed out and it will mean smooth sailing for both client and band alike. All in all, Indigo Delight is a very friendly and flexible bunch and takes great pride in providing excellent musicianship and creating a really fun atmosphere wherever they go. The band has a big long list of songs spanning different genres and decades for you to pick from and can play complimentary playlist music (which you are welcome to tailor) before, in-between and after live sets until curfew. The band can be on site for up to 7 hours, or until midnight as standard. They are happy to accommodate early arrivals before 5pm and late stays after midnight if needed too. The band is also able to provide a band member DJ-ing should you wish to have a live-DJ before, between, or after band sets. The band brings a full PA and lighting rig with them wherever they go, so all you need to do is book the band and you can tick the entertainment off your to-do list in one fell swoop, because Indigo Delight will have you covered.
