IndieFly are a 5 piece professional covers band playing the biggest in indie singalong anthems from 90s to 00s, with some classics and more modern songs thrown in for good measure. With songs from Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Kings of Leon, The Killers, The Strokes, Supergrass and many many more, there's something in the core set to get everyone up on the dance floor and belting out those lyrics at the top of their voices, and we'll discuss with you the option to include some classics and or modern hits to shape the set exactly to the party people attending. We have many years of gigging experience, supporting bands like Charlatans, Pixe Lott, Paloma Faith, Starsailor and many more. Our current line-up has been together since 2018. Weddings, functions and corporate events are a speciality, and we've all the sound equipment, lighting etc that you'd expect from a professional band. There's an optional DJ service and/or you're welcome to provide us with playlists to provide music before, between and after our performances.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Quite simply, it's the songs we play. We're forever being told that people had forgotten quite how much they love some of the songs! We've tried to select songs that everyone knows but that offer party people something a bit different to most function bands: floorfillers and singalong anthems that aren't overplayed.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We're familiar with most of the North West's top wedding venues, and 100s of pubs, clubs etc in Merseyside, Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes. Our singer is Em, and she's been an ever present in the band in all its guises since 2007!

Do you have different line-up options?

We usually play 5-piece, consisting: Emma - lead vocal; acoustic guitar Moxy - bass guitar; backing vocals Dave - drums; backing vocals Craig - keyboards; backing vocals; extra guitars Adam - electric guitar Occasionally, we'll take a 4-piece booking without keys, but the set options are reduced with this line-up.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We've been doing this long enough to virtually expect timings to change, particularly for wedding bookings! It'd need to be a very significant change to cause any problems, so don't worry too much!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely! We're able to provide background music for before and between sets, either as a DJ service, or by playing your own playlists (you'll need to create this playlist and provide us to a link using Spotify). There is a charge for this service if required after we've finished playing, and that depends on the duration and finish time.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually ask for a minimum of 60 min to set up and soundcheck. Where less time can be allowed, we will usually be able to set up and soundcheck in 40 minutes (assuming simple access) but the subsequent tidying of cabling and rigging of any lighting may then need to be done once guests have access to the room.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Building a set list requires a lot of experience and there is a lot more to it than simply choosing some song titles. We'll discuss your preferences with you, but we need to be allowed to use or expertise when it comes to the actual building of the set list. You'll get a far better performance that way.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

All sound equipment and basic lighting (colour washes and "disco" lighting) is provided within the price where required. Please allow us a minimum space of 2.5m deep x 4m wide (this may still restrict the equipment/instruments we are able to use, so an extra metre each way is recommended), plus a gap of 1m to the dancefloor where there is no stage.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Not every song we play is listed on our profile (they're just the ones that best represent what we usually do), so just ask if there's something that's particuarly special to you. If we don't already play it but it's something we'd use going forward, we can usually learn it at no additional cost.
