Imogen Russell is a singer, oboist, and flautist from Coventry. She is currently studying music at Anglia Ruskin, and is in her second year. Imogen also sings with the choir of Trinity College, Cambridge. She was a chorister and Head Chorister at Holy Trinity Church Coventry for 11 years. Imogen also sang with the St Michael singers at Coventry Cathedral for two years. Imogen was also a member of The National Youth Choir of Great Britain training choir and her school choir; The Coventry Blue Coat School Choir - Winners of the Songs of Praise School Choir competition in 2008. Imogen has also toured the UK with Blue coat choir, singing evensong at places such as Salisbury, York, and Wells. She is also a member of The Trinity Consort, based in Cambridge. Imogen sang a solo with G4 in Coventry Cathedral in 2007. She also sang the ‘role' of Amore in Gluck's Orfeo aged thirteen with Emily Van Evera and Tim Travers Brown. She has also soloed for the Vivaldi Gloria, with Trinity singers, conducted by Owain Park, and was also a soloist for Vivaldi’s Magnificat, with St John’s college choir, Cambridge, directed by Andrew Nethsingha. This year, Imogen sang as a soloist, and part of the chorus in a concert of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, where she sang the part of second woman. In March, Imogen will perform as a soloist for the Orpington Choral in the spring. With the Choir of Trinity College, Imogen has recorded 3 CDS for Hyperion records, under the direction of Stephen Layton. She performed with Trinity choir at St John’s Smith square, singing Bach’s B minor mass in December.
