Multi-instrumentalist, published composer and arranger now focussed on jazz saxophone and piano. I have been gigging since the late 1980s on a variety of instruments and in a variety of styles and although I am fairly new to the solo-with-backing gig you can rely on me and I aim to entertain! I also run two bands: We Got That Swing! and Blues in Motion which appear on this platform. I usually play Tenor Saxophone but I can play some Baritone Sax for a change!

Ian was an absolute delight to deal with from the beginning of the booking to him leaving the venue. We had last minute placement issues due to rain, and Ian was super lovely about it and came across with no fuss. Hearing him play while walking around the venue truly made our wedding day special. If we ever need a saxophonist again we wouldn’t look elsewhere. I would 1000% recommend - truly talented and made it look effortless while playing.

I loved the choice of songs, so many that I recognised and the sax playing was lovely!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

With a different hat on I have played in front of 1000s at Sidmouth Folk Festival, and Strawberry fair in Cambridge.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I am very likely to be able to work around small changes in times. If extra performance time is required some adjustment to the fee may be required.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can provide a bluetooth connection to my pa for you to be able to play your own music selections. I could provide some dinner jazz background music if you prefer.
