We had a half English half Scottish wedding at Hedsor House in Taplow and I decided it would be a great addition to have a bagpiper. I searched everywhere for someone to fill the role for my daughter’s wedding and I found Ian. What a fantastic man, he was so professional, helpful, kind and talented. I discussed the day with Ian and he made useful suggestions to incorporate his music into the day. Ian played outside (during storm Bert) welcoming guests into the venue, such a treat for everyone. He suggested the music that would work for each section of the wedding, piping the bride down to the ceremony room was such a great idea. I’m not Scottish so I really needed someone with Ian’s knowledge to guide me through the timings. The outstanding moment was when he piped the new Mr & Mrs into the wedding breakfast room and stayed after they were seated to pipe a couple more well known tunes, the Scottish guests were beyond delighted. Everyone said how wonderful Ian was. I think everyone should have a bagpiper on their wedding day and I cannot recommend Ian highly enough. He made a day to remember and we will absolutely use him for our future family weddings. Thank you Ian

Ian played for our 93 year old grandma on her birthday. He was very professional and gave her the best experience of her life. She quoted “I couldn’t have wished for anything more perfect for my birthday”. Ian came looking very well presented, adhered to the requests made and overall made everyone feel happy. He took the time to speak to our grandma which I know she appreciated greatly. We will absolutely use Ian again at all our functions. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you Ian, you made a grateful elderly woman feel young and loved.

Ian was so helpful for our pub’s first Burns Night event. He called prior to the event to talk through the specifics and even made recommendations on what a traditional night would involve. On the night, Ian arrived promptly in full garb, which our customers love. We had a few of our local Scots in who were very impressed with the music as well as the recital of Address to a Haggis. Would absolutely recommend!
