I learned to play the bagpipes to a high standard as a schoolboy in Glasgow. I have lived in the south east since graduating from university many years ago. I have piped at weddings, funerals and private functions of all kinds, for private parties, corporate groups, royalty and public occasions. I have an extensive and flexible repertoire and will gladly aim to accommodate any specific or unusual requests. Iain stepped in at short notice to pipe our bridal party down the aisle. He was completely unphased and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend his piping skills!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always aim to be flexible and accommodate reasonable changes to fit in with the event timings.

How much time do you need to set up?

I just need somewhere to warm up and tune the pipes for 15 to 20 minutes beforehand. I also need to understand the layout of the space and where I need to stand or march.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

If there are particular tunes you would like (or indeed particular tunes you definitely don't want!) just let me know. Equally, if you would rather leave it entirely to me, that's fine. I will play a selection of tunes suitable for the occasion.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Absolutely. Definitely no need for any amplifiers!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If you have a particular request, just let me know. It may be in my repertoire anyway even if not listed here. If it is something unusual or which requires significant time to prepare, there might be an additional charge.
