IVANA is a saxophonist and musician, originally from South Africa, now living in Lancashire, UK. IVANA initially starting learning Alto Saxophone at the age of 11, However, she parted ways with her instrument and reconnected 5 years ago. Since then IVANA and her sax have been inseparable. From a young age IVANA has always been interested in music and has spent years curating her music tastes and genres. After completing her degree in music performance and production IVANA took to playing Sax with DJ's and took a residency at a local bar in Preston. Now IVANA is looking to branch out and play sax at all different types of events. Whether its with a DJ or backing tracks, IVANA will bring the vibe and atmosphere you're looking for. As a self-taught musician IVANA also plays saxophone, acoustic guitar, and sings. She has performed across the UK and Europe for audiences of 2,000.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I think my clients love my interaction with the audience and guests most as I love to dance and get people into the spirit of the event. Clients seem to enjoy this aspect the most.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Wedding venues and live music venues such as: Old School Rooms, Assembly Hall. Clitheroe. The Grand, Clitheroe. The Ferret in Preston. Sunbird Records, Darwen. Lancs & York. Bamber Bridge.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Artists that have influenced me the most include Masego, Grace Kelly and Leo P. They all have very modern takes and ideas when playing the saxophone.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Performing at the Ribble Valley Jazz & Blues Festival in Clitheroe in 2023.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as my PA is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for my live performance!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I'm more than happy to chat through any requests and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I will have everything I need to walk around with my sax and interact with the guests. I have a wireless mic set up for my live performances.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
