Holly and Swerve have played music together for more than half their lives. There have been many different lineups, from local ceilidh bands, private functions and parties to pub bands, session leaders and major folk festivals both in the UK and in Europe. They are both selected musicians for the Folk Camps Society. Their extensive experience makes them dependable and adaptable, and they will not fail to add joy and gorgeous music to enhance any event.

That was a really enjoyable set. These two make the most amazing sounds. Holly’s folky fiddle playing is infused with dance and Swerve’s guitar-playing is a powerhouse of melodic rhythm – people walking past just had to stop and groove along. Highly recommended.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

We are an established duo who are masters of our craft. It would not be of musical benefit to exchange either of us, or to ask us to play instruments at which we are less proficient

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Let us know, we will always do our best to accommodate your needs

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, our PA system has capacity for this and we have most appropriate leads and connectors. Let us know what sort of cable you need to connect your device (it is not wireless compatible) and we'll make sure we are equipped

How much time do you need to set up?

We need access at least 1 hour before performing

Can you roam around while you perform?

We can perform acoustically, which is suited to roaming around. If we are using microphones we will need a designated space

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

If you have any special requests we can discuss this beforehand - if we know it we will happily perform it. Otherwise its best to let us judge the feel of the event - we are very experienced and have made sure countless events are suitably provided for

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our fee includes all equipment, unless anything has been specially requested and is very different to our usual set-up

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If you would like us to learn a specific song or tune then we will discuss a fee for us to dedicate rehearsal time to this in advance of your event
