Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients always comment on the diversity of the music I play. I can adapt myself to play any style of music, whether that be classical, film music, folk, pop or rock.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed at some of the top concert and wedding venues in the UK. These include playing at The Royal Albert Hall and The Royal Festival Hall, and performing at weddings at Hampton Court Palace and The Dorchester.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I was very lucky to perform with Dave Stewart, Nile Rodgers, Emile Sande and Beverly Knight for Dave Stewart's Eurythmic Songbook (part of Nile Rodgers' Meltdown Festival at the Royal Festival Hall).

Do you have different line-up options?

I am able to play on either acoustic or electric violins, and either with or without high quality backing tracks.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually arrived 1 hour before the performance time to set up.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course, and I can also usually accommodate requests that aren't on my set list, as long as these are requested up to a fortnight before the event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I bring my violin and PA system for up to 150 people. If the event is larger than this I would ask that the client hires an appropriate PA system and sound engineer separately.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, with at least a fortnight's notice. This service is free of charge.

Hollie did the most amazing performance at our wedding. Her music was everything we wanted and she was so professional and easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend Hollie to anyone looking for a modern violinist to add the extra touch to their wedding day.

Hollie was amazing! The music she played for the ceremony was beautiful and really set the tone well. Our guests loved the electric violin for the drinks reception and we got so many nice comments all day about how fab the music was. In the lead up to the event, Hollie communicated well with us, and was receptive to our song choices. Kat’s grandad absolutely adored listening to his request of ‘Dream a Little Dream of Me’ early on in the reception and couldn’t stop raving about it! Thanks for being so awesome, from Liam and Kat

Hollie has led the Farnborough Symphony Orchestra since 2015. Under her leadership, the quality of string playing has improved significantly and her example, particularly in solo passages, has been inspirational. She approaches her role with great thoughtfulness and is a genuine pleasure to work with. I have no hesitation in recommending her.
