Hoei Lien The, Dutch violinist, enjoys a busy career playing in different chamber music projects, theatre projects and solo. She performs regularly in The Netherlands, Great Britain and Switzerland. Hoei Lien is principal violin and managing director of the Silk Street Sinfonia, an unconducted chamber orchestra with a core group of twelve strings. The Silk Street Sinfonia is made up of international young musicians who met in London, many of whom are laureates of international competitions and all of whom enjoy busy careers. Another cross-arts project Hoei Lien is involved in, is “Salon Musical”, a programme of music and theatre which captures the spirit, elegance and splendour of a 19th century Parisian musical soiree. Hoei Lien is part of many different chamber music ensembles. She was the founder of the Fourier piano trio in The Netherlands with whom she performed throughout The Netherlands from 2009 until 2015. They also appeared live on National Radio4 and Radio West. From May 2015 onwards she is part of Ansermet Ensemble, a flexible chamber music ensemble with whom she goes on tour to the French part of Switzerland regularly. Since summer 2015 Hoei Lien started playing in the Verter piano trio with Marc Verter and Jaixin Lloyd Webber. Recently she was asked by Sony Classical UK to play live in BBC Radio3 "In Tune" with Craig Leon playing tracks live from the album "Bach to Moog" to replace Jennifer Pike. This led to another collaboration with Craig Leon on his composition “Nommos”, a mixture of electronic music, voice and string quartet. Hoei Lien has played with many renowned artists such as Zakhar Bron, Frans Helmerson, Boris Brovstyn, Candida Thompson and Andras Andorjan. Through the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague Hoei Lien has worked closely with members of Residentie Orkest/ The Hague Philharmonic. At Guildhall she performed alongside members of the London Symphony Orchestra. Hoei Lien has worked with many renowned conductors among others, Bernhard Haitink, Valery Gergiev, Lawrence Foster, Antonio Pappano, Edward Gardner, Gianandrea Noseda, Pietari Inkinen, Jaime Martin, Etienne Siebens, Péter Csaba, Jac van Steen, Reinbert de Leeuw and James Gaffigan.
