Message from Henry: "Hi there! Thanks so much for coming to check out my profile! I would love to help make your event (be it a wedding, funeral, birthday, anniversary etc.) as special as possible with the *highest quality music* tailored to your personal requirements. I've been doing these gigs since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, so I now have a huge repertoire, and I also love to learn new stuff! This isn't just a weekend thing like it is for many people, this is my full-time profession and I really take pride in making my work the very best it can be. Hopefully, you can see from my videos and recordings that I am a very capable player across many genres. I'd like to also assure you I'm a nice guy too who isn't going to take you for a ride, that I really love and care about what I do! I am always looking to improve my service to you, so if you have any concerns, questions or comments, please please get in touch. Hopefully I can help bring your day together to be something you remember for the rest of your life. Thanks and best wishes, H." Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

They always have a lovely time - they say that I create a great atmosphere that's just right. Guests always have smiles on their faces and are highly complimentary.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Hong Kong, South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Menorca, London, Royal Albert Hall, Fairfield Halls, Lambeth Palace, Fulham Palace, Cecil Sharp House, Shoreditch Town Hall, The Lowry, Salford, Oxford Folk Weekend, Towersey Folk Festival and many, many more...

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I am influenced by classical violinists such as Nicola Benedetti, folk fiddle players such as Martin Hayes and Jazz musicians such as Stephane Grappelli.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The Helene Fischer show in Germany, Christmas 2019; two nights of a 20,000-seat arena and a Christmas day show watched by 20 million people. She's a huge star in Germany, but no one has heard of her here in the UK! 😂

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Timings often change a little, and I will always try to be as flexible as possible within the constraints of my availability and of your budget.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes of course. This is offered free of charge, so long as I am already playing for you amplified.

How much time do you need to set up?

Set up can take from 2 minutes to take out my violin to 20 minutes if playing with a PA. As soon as the PA is set up, I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere. If you need the PA setup significantly earlier than performance time, this will likely incur an additional charge, but of course, I always try to be as flexible as possible.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, of course. My setlist is built from over 15 years of experience of what works best to ensure happy guests and a great atmosphere. However, I'm always happy to chat in advance and make sure the set is tailored to work for your event!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I bring everything. If we've arranged I play amplified, I just need some standard UK sockets at the performance area. :-)

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a piece you request isn't included in the song list, there is a decent chance I know it already, however, in the event that I don't, a £30 fee for the service may apply to take into account preparation and rehearsal time, etc.

Amazing choice for my wedding ceremony music! I’ve gotten multiple questions on whether Henry was a friend, and what “the piece” was that my groom and I walked down the aisle to. I left Henry with free reign over the music and he delivered a perfectly curated selection which left my guests in a blissful lull of unprecedented joy. Henry was easy to communicate with, and worked with me on making a bespoke package we were both comfortable with. Would recommend this talented musician for every occasion.
