Hello Hopeville is an Americana / Country Blues band based in and around Frome, Somerset. Formed six years ago by Lisa (the girl in the band) who had a passion for Americana music. Her vision was to take some of the songs that she had grown up listening to and give them a new lease of life. All she needed was the right musicians to join her. Since then the band and the music has evolved through a number of different lineups. Three of the original band members still remain! Hello Hopeville have gradually found their niche and evolved into what they are today. Along this journey they have developed an ever widening following throughout Somerset. Playing everywhere from Barns, Private parties, Regional festivals, The Pilton Stage (Pilton Working Mans Club), Weddings and even prestige venues such as "Hauser and Wirth" and "The Newt in Somerset". The band is now expanding its reach.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our best sound comes from the mix of five instruments, and we do not vary this.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know, and we can discuss options.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

No. We do not provide either iPod or DJ services. We are an Americana / Country band.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. We can provide free background music when not performing, provided this is requested at the time of booking.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We are a static band, and prefer to perform in a pre-determined spot. We can discuss locations prior to booking.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We tailor our set list to the event following discussion about your needs.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and sound equipment is included. You would be responsible for any additional lighting required

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We are always happy to discuss your event before booking, and to say whether the song you want is included in our set list.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

It's just beautifully performed Americana music, with the heady sounds of Acoustic Guitar, 5 String Banjo, Harp, Cajon, Lead Guitar and Bass. An all-round great sound that is neither too loud nor too overpowering.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We love all Ameriana and Country bands, and each of us would name a whole range of different influences.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

All gigs are 'high profile' to the people arranging and attending them. We don't grade our gigs in this way as each one is special.
