Heather Mary Watson is a Leeds based Soprano, graduated from Leeds College of Music. She performed with the National Girls Choir of Scotland and National Youth Choir of Scotland for six years. During her time at Leeds College of Music Heather performed with LUU Opera Society as Papagena in there production of The Magic flute and also performed in the chorus for Don Giovanni and Carmen. Heather also performed as Peasblossum in A Midsummer Nights Dream by Britten, Sister Osmina in Sour Angelica and in the Chorus for Dido and Aeneas with Leeds College of Music. At her time at AIMS international Music School she performed as Anne in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Iphis in Jeptha. After graduating Heather has performed with Northern Opera Group as Malgonne in Cinderella and Aurora in The Pirates. Heather has also performed as Leona in La Bella Helene with All Souls Amateur Operatic Society and Phyllis in Utopia Ltd with Halifax G&S.

Heather was a delight to work with. She’s a phenomenally gifted performer, as well as a bubbly, energetic and fun person to be around throughout every rehearsal. Despite having played the role before she approached the text with a fresh perspective and succeeded in making the role original and vibrant. I hope I get to work with her again!

Heather gave an outstanding performance at our street party this summer. She selected a perfect mix from the repertoire, combining classical favourites, mid-twentieth century drama and upbeat operetta for an unforgettable evening. She sang ‘I want to be a Prima Donna’ but we feel she is already a diva! Everyone is still talking about her weeks after the event. Heather is a shining young talent who draws you into her performance with her vibrant personality. Professional and reliable, we would warmly recommend her for weddings and other occasions.
