Hi! My name is Harry. I started playing guitar when I was 10 and soon after started playing amateur theatre shows and fell in love with the world of musical theatre. I branched out quickly to all walks of musical genres, eventually specialising in Jazz when I received my first degree honours In Jazz Performance (BMus) from the University of Chichester while also gaining valuable experience in both sight reading and improvisational musical environments. During that time I have racked up countless hours working in theatre pit environments and live on-stage gigs both amateur and professional, as well as reading jazz gigs in trios and as part of a full big band. Most notable moments of which are winning Best Band in the Amateur Dramatics Awards in a performance of Jesus Christ Superstar, Sharing the stage with west end legends such as Luke Bayer, Trevor Dion Nicholas, Louise Dearman and Rachel Tucker in 'Main men of Musicals' and 'There is Nothin' like a Dame' hosted in Cadogen Hall in May of 2019. Being a guest Guitarist for the Syd Laurence Orchestra, being lead guitarist for the University of Chichester's performance of 'Bond is Back' playing the iconic themes of James Bond, Holding the resident guitarist seat in the University of Chichester's Big Band for 4 years straight. Starting in September 2021 I was on board P&O Cruises Ventura for 5 months as the guitarist for PULSE, the resident band of the ship, and gained a highly regarded reputation with the Musical director on board and agent Jon Perry of Sonic Artists. My array of services include: Instrumental guitar backing music in a genre of your choice, Session musician for orchestras, live bands and recording, Honed skill styles of both electric and acoustic guitar as well as doubling on 4-string Banjo, Classical guitar, Mandolin and Ukulele.

Harry is an engaging and highly skilled guitarist. Always attentive and focussed, he uses his skills to bring a real sense of vibrancy and characterisation to the chart. Comfortable with various styles, his reading is terrific and is able to adapt a chart to however the MD/arranger wants it with great success. I’ve engaged his services in various musical concerts, most recently at Cadogan Hall. I shall no doubt look to hire him again.
