Hannah Rankin

Hannah has just completed the first Advanced Diploma on the Contrabassoon at the Royal Academy of Music this year where she spent the year studying with Fraser Gordon of the RPO. Originally hailing from the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland, she moved to London in 2012 to complete a Masters on Bassoon at the Royal Acdemy of Music. During her time as a musician she has had the pleasure of working alongside the London Sinfonietta and Scottish Opera during her studies and since graduating she has had the chance to freelance with such orchestras as The St Petersburg Ballet Theatre, The Surrey Opera Company, The Facade Ensemble, Orpheus Sinfonia, the Ryedale Festival Opera and many more. Hannah loves working with children and enjoys the challenges of teaching, offering Bassoon, Flute and Music Theory lessons. As well as a professional musician Hannah is also a professional Boxer ranked No.4 in the world and as well as competing she also teaches boxing in gyms around London.
