Hannah Corcoran is a saxophonist from Brighton currently studying for her Master of Arts Degree at the Royal Academy of Music . Soloist highlights of the year include performances at Wigmore Hall, New Music North West Festival, and concertos with the RNCM Sinfonietta and the Manchester Beethoven Orchestra. As a classical artist Hannah has also performed with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in the Last Night of the Proms, with ‘Bang on a Can All-Stars’ in their Prom and has worked with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. As a pop and jazz artist Hannah is a member of the Ignition Orchestra, a collaboration with legendary UK Garage artists who performed live on BBC Radio 1 and to a sold out Barbican centre last summer. Hannah has performed with a variety of artists including Cory Wong, DJ Spoony, Jason Manford and the BBC Breakfast Presenters. Hannah has also performed at Montreux Jazz Festival, Brighton Festival, Kendal Calling Festival, Liverpool International Music Festival and Wembley Stadium. She is excited for upcoming performances at the Hammersmith Apollo and working alongside DJs across Europe. Hannah has been the recipient of numerous awards including ‘Cox Memorial Prize’ at ESO Young Soloist Competition, Coro Nuovo’s ‘Young Musician of The Year’, and her postgraduate studies are generously supported by the Royal Academy of Music, the Countess of Munster Trust and the Helen Mackaness Trust.
