Hannah is 21 years old and is currently studying for her undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music with Laura Jellicoe. During her time at the RNCM she has played with the colleges most prestigious orchestras including playing alongside Alexander Sitkovestky and Leonard Elschenbroich in Brahms’ double concerto for violin and cello. More recently, she successfully auditioned for Principal Flautist of the RNCM’s Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Mark Elder at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. In 2014, she was appointed principal flautist of the National Youth Wind Ensemble and in 2015 she joined the National Youth Chamber Orchestra and played at Cadogan Hall in London. Hannah has participated in masterclasses from leading flautists such as Kate Hill, Ian Clarke, Sarah Newbold and Robert Winn and has received lessons from Joshua Batty (Principal Flautist of the Dublin Philharmonic, Daniel Pailthorpe (Principal Flautist of the BBC Symphony Orchestra), Katherine Kemler and Anna Pope. Last summer she participated in Summer Music Academy Sinaia in Romania, receiving tuition from Paul Edmund Davies and was featured on a local TV news report. This summer Hannah will learn from Robert Winn at the Oxford Flute Summer School before starting her 3rd year at the RNCM.
