Hannah started learning the flute at a very young age in primary school, where her love for classical music started to blossom. At the age of 16, Hannah had finished all her classical flute grades 1-8, achieved grade 5 theory and chose to study the subject in further education. Whilst studying A Levels, Hannah was a member of many ensembles, within school and outside, including OSSO and OCYO based in Oxford, playing in competitions such as the Music for Youth festival, which allowed Hannah to play in many outstanding venues such as the Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Being a part of an outside ensemble allowed Hannah to go on tours with her Oxford Orchestras aboard, to places such as Poland, Spain, France, Germany and Italy before securing a place at Leeds College of Music, beginning September 2012. Since being at the college, Hannah has been studying under Martyn Shaw, a principle lecturer at Leeds College of Music (Conservatoire) and also at Chethams School of Music, in Manchester. Whilst at the college, Hannah has taken part of many ensembles, including the Symphonic Wind orchestra, where she played Principle Piccolo in her first year of university. Whilst at university, Hannah was part of many ensembles, including The Vincent Quartet, made up of flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon. Hannah played many concerts with this quartet, including at the prestigious Lotherton hall in Yorkshire, to a sold out crowd. Hannah received a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Music performance, and since her degree has moved back to Oxford and is working in schools with SEN diagnosis as a Learning Support, Residential Care Worker and Music room Coordinator for 2 years, and has since taken on a position working for the Oxfordshire NHS foundation trust.
