Hamish The First

Hamish has been playing sax since he was 8 years old and had developed a strong sense of musicality and a great ear over the last 20 years. Leaving Goldsmiths University with a 2.1 in Classical music, Hamish secured a contract with TUI Cruises, travelling and performing around the Mediterranean and Caribbean for two years. After leaving the cruise lines Hamish went onto perform with DJs around the country at Weddings, Private functions and Club nights. During this time he performed with the likes of Jeremy Healy, Seb Fontaine, Jess Bays and DJ Luck & MC Neat. During Lockdown Hamish began to hone his DJ technique as he performed open air parties on the beaches of Margate and Broadstairs. Hamish became resident DJ & Saxophonist of The Skinny Kitchen, Islington and was at the forefront of the Bottomless Brunch craze that swept the nation in the wake of Covid. This is where he developed the skill of creating tightly programmed show stopping sets and befriended Sick Trumpet. Hamish truly cut his teeth at The Skinny Kitchen, DJing over 700 hours during the course of his residency. Teaming up with Sick Trumpet, Hamish went on perform around the country at Reading and Latitude Festivals, a multitude of Student Unions supporting Chase & Status, Nathan Dawe, Switch Disco, Sigma and performing a guest act spot on P&O Cruises. With his experience as saxophonist and a DJ, Hamish's performances stand out because of the high attention to detail in developing his sets. Every song is high energy, there are no lulls, no fluff. Only pure performance.
