Grytė Navardauskaitė is a Lithuanian classical pianist, active as a soloist and chamber musician. She started her musical education at the age of six at the A.Kačanauskas music school in Kaunas (Lithuania), where she received her first piano lessons with Aušra Kučinskienė. Besides this, Grytė was a student of Kaunas Choreography School were she studied ballet and contemporary dance. She later entered Kaunas J.Gruodis Conservatoire to study with Laima Aksamitauskienė. After her graduation she received lessons from Rokas Zubovas, Eglė Andrejevaitė and Justas Šervenikas. In 2016, Grytė was awarded a scholarship to study piano performance at the Guildhall School Of Music And Drama in London under the tutoring of Katya Apekisheva. Grytė is a laureate of eight national and international competitions in Lithuania and Italy. For her achievements she was awarded by both, the President and the Prime Minister of Lithuania. Besides this, Grytė has participated in masterclasses with famous pianists, Andrey Gavrilov, Grigoryi Gruzman, Alexander Puliaev, Gabrielius Alekna and Paul Roberts among others. She recently performed in venues such as Milton Court Concert Hall, Barbican Centre, Kaunas Philharmonic Hall, Kaunas Musical Theater as well as Kaunas City Hall where she played both as a soloist and chamber player. In summer 2018 she was selected to participate at the Klaipėda Piano Masters(Lithuania) with professor Gintaras Januševičius. Apart from her career in piano performance, Grytė is passionate about accompanying ballet dancers. She recently composed pieces for ballet class as well as three character ballet variations for young dancers. She has been working with ballet artists since 2014 and is currently a member of the West Hampstead School Of Dance. In September 2017 she formed Duo Mirage with violist Lorena Cantó Woltèche. Among their recent performances, features a tour in Spain and UK in September 2018.
