Headed up by their powerhouse vocalist, Groove Manuva are one of the best funky, modern sounding bands around. Mixing fresh, up to date songs with classic tunes (with their own twist) the band have a proven track record of super happy clients. Expect modern hits from the likes of Jess Glynne, The 1975 and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers through to funk and soul classics from James Brown and Stevie Wonder. Members of Groove Manuva have been entertaining audiences for the last 20 years and with the band in it's current line up for the last 10 years. We have a wealth of experience between us ranging from performances on the Jools Holland show, the Montreux jazz festival, Glastonbury, T in the Park, European festivals, SXSW in Texas and as part of the BBC Yorkshire symphony orchestra. Members have also performed alongside the likes of the Happy Mondays, Coldplay, Underworld, the Kaiser Chiefs, Joe Strummer and Kate Nash.

Groove Manuva played at my wedding. They were so good! All the guests commented on how great they were. They learnt our first dance especially for us which was such a nice touch. We can’t thank them enough for being part of our special day. We also rented their Photo Booth which went down really well, lots of very funny photos were taken.

We had Groove Manuva play at our wedding on the 15th October at Oulton Hall…what I can say they were absolutely amazing!!!!!! The dance floor was full all the time,they played an amazing variety of music and all my guests afterwards said how fantastic they were and where did we find them! We also had acoustic music played whilst enjoying canapés and drinks and this was also a lovely touch from Mitch and the others from the band! The saxophone and music towards the end of the night was a great end to the night….I would highly recommend booking this band for your wedding!! Best we have ever heard 😊😊 thanks again to everyone who played we are so grateful. Sophie and paddy x

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We have been told we are friendly, professional and know how to put on a great show! We have consistently good feedback from our clients. People love our mix of music from motown and soul up to modern pop and indie. We mash songs together and give everything a funky twist which keeps things spicy!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level

Do you have different line-up options?

Our band lineup is usually 4 or 5 piece. We also do a 7 piece and our acoustic duo is an afternoon option.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until midnight, we provide this for an additional £180.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 6m by 4m space to perform

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We are happy to learn a first dance for your special day. If you have any pther requests please let us know and we will see if it's something we can do!
