Groove Collider is an exciting West Midlands based function band consisting of five experienced musicians. With both female and male lead vocals, they provide a mix of dynamic vocal harmonies, energetic guitars, keyboards and solid bass and drums with a live sound that won't fail to disappoint. The band's set is finely tuned to focus on the best pop and rock anthems amongst a host of other musical genres. There is something for every age group. Groove Collider pride itself on delivering a fun and friendly performance so guests feel comfortable, engaged and most importantly enjoy themselves. They are more than willing to learn a song of your choice should it be required. This is ideal for first dance songs or birthday party favourites. The band provide a professional Front Of House PA manufactured by leading audio specialists EV, and a range of microphones that can also be used for speeches or announcements. They have a lighting rig to suit most venues and provide an MP3 player that is suitable for background music and/or disco. Groove Collider has provided live music for weddings, private parties, dinner dances and charity events in and around the Midlands area where the band is based. Our top events have included performing at the Hilton Birmingham to, Jury's In Hotels and Birmingham City FC all to a crowd in access of 500 people. We chose Groove Collider for entertainment at our wedding and they were amazing. Before the day all the communications were helpful and professional. The music was amazing, brilliant song choices delivered by really talented musicians. So many of our guests commented on how awesome they were and how well they engaged the crowd and got people dancing. Also really friendly lovely people. Highly recommended if you want a superb music from lovely people. If I could give then more stars I would!

I used them for my 60th Birthday party for 150 guests. There was a great selection of music that was loved by people from 20 to 80 years of age. People even started dancing to the sound check! I would certainly use them again. Every song had people dancing to it.

We chose Groove Collider after weeks of searching online for a wedding band. We were delighted to find a five piece band with great vocals within our budget and a very reasonable price. Planning a wedding through lock-down was tricky but they were in constant communication and replied within a day. On the wedding day itself,they arrived when they said they would, and waited to set up after the speeches as they lasted longer than expected. The dance-floor was packed from half way through our first dance up untill the last song they played. We would recommend them in a heartbeat and thank you very much for making our wedding the day it was.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Groove Collider provide a polished, professional set of upbeat pop and rock hits. We have fun with the audience too with chat and banter, so it keeps everyone relaxed so they enjoy themselves.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

This is a difficult question. We take influences from old pros like Queen to more up-to-date artists like Ariande Grande and Justin Timberlake. So we're pretty varied.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Charity Ball at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole for Backup Trust. The party consisted of over 400 guests all in fancy dress. We have performed for the charity 2 times so far. Just brilliant!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes we do. 5-piece Band: Vocals(Female/Male), Guitar, Keyboards, Bass Guitar, Drums. 3-piece Acoustic Band: Vocals, Guitar, Bass

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If you need us to arrive earlier or perform later then we can try an accommodate you.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for FREE. You can create an online playlist via Spotify, share the link and we can plugin this on the night so it is completely tailored to your songs choices.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We also require 3 to 4 13 amp sockets to power our equipment. Space-wise we usually require a minimum of 3 metres deep by 5 metres wide stage area that is flat.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £100-200 for this service depending on the complexity of the song.
