Jonathan & Tony met in their other incarnation Jonathan Markwood's Hoo-Hah Conspiracy. A band that are firm favourites with BBC Music Introducing and whose song 'Liquid Animal' was Song Of The Year at BBC Shropshire. Groober is a project formed out of the idea that they should play songs that are as close to the original artistes as possible. Although a duo - Jonathan on vocals and guitar and Tony on drums and vocal - Groober sounds amazing and just like a full band with the addition of keyboards and even orchestras added to the mix via the magic of modern music wizardry! This makes for a fantastic live sound in a very compact footprint. Booking costs are also more reasonable compared to bigger full piece bands whilst the sound is just as incredible and can be as loud or quiet as required!

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £50 for this service to take into account rehearsal times
