Grete

My name is Grete Eitmantyte, I am a singer and a songwriter stage named Grete. Born and raised in a little Eastern-European country Lithuania, I started singing when I was only 3 years old. I began my young artist and performer career in small ensembles and bands and was quickly spotted and drawn to the biggest stages in the country, such as tv competitions, musical theatre, international concerts and contests, and even the finals of The Voice of Lithuania. Gaining a local fame opened so many doors for function gigs and session work but that was not the career I truly wanted to pursue. It was always my biggest dream to go to the UK and become a well-known artist. So, I chose to leave my country and start fresh in the UK, and now I am studying pop music vocals in RNCM. I always believed in myself that I can be an original artist and be known for my own style. Being in Manchester, in the music university, surrounded by so many talented musicians and professionals for four years now, taught me so much. I found myself, my genre, my inspiration and my music. Influenced by artists like Jazmine Sullivan, The Weeknd and Yebba, I began writing vocally colourful and harmonically intracate songs with strong messages and old R&B references. Learning more and more about music industry and being a very hard working, motivated planner helps me build my future as a singer/songwriter. Expanding my repertoire, finding new colors and people to collaborate and work with professionally is my main focus now, so that I could get my work out there in the world and spread my incredibly big love and passion for music to everyone.
