I'm Gregorio, a London-based DJ and classically trained trumpet player. After years performing as a trumpeter, I now bring that live sound into my DJ sets — playing melodic afro house and deep house and improvising live trumpet over the music. The result sits somewhere between a DJ set and a live act: warm, groovy and easy to listen to, with something a bit special when the trumpet comes in. It works beautifully for sunset slots, weekend brunches, markets, bars and restaurants, as well as private and corporate events that want a premium live touch without the cost or setup of a full band. My background is in classical and jazz trumpet (Conservatorio J. Tomadini; PGCert, Guildhall School, 18+ years on the instrument), and my sound draws on artists like Black Coffee, Themba and the atmospheric trumpet of Takuya Nakamura and Nils Petter Molvær. I bring my own DJ controller and trumpet — all I need is a power socket and a small table, and I'm happy to plug into a house PA or bring my own for smaller spaces. What do your clients love most about your performances?

The live trumpet over my DJ sets — it adds a warm, personal touch most DJs can't offer. Clients also love my eclectic taste and the care I take in choosing tracks to match the mood and read the room.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've played DJ sets at London clubs including Ministry of Sound and Club Makossa in Dalston. I also played in Ibiza, Italy and Corfu — including a full summer residency in Corfu in 2024.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I'm influenced by a mix of house and UK garage. On the afro and deep house side, artists like Black Coffee, Themba and Solomun shape my sound, while for UK garage I draw on the classic UK scene and newer names like Sammy Virji. I bring all of that together in my sets, with live trumpet on top.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

My most high profile gig was at Ministry of Sound

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

It mainly depends on the parking situation. Should you decide to move it during restriction hours, the parking will need to be covered. Apart from that I am flexible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I can connect pre-made mixes to play before my set and any breaks you require me to take.

How much time do you need to set up?

Depending on the setup you choose and how difficult the load in is from the car but usually about 1 to 2 hours.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

You can send me a Spotify list of songs a week before the event and I will put together your personal playlist on my system.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I have a great selection of equipment for you to choose from.
